If you retired before State Pension Age and chose the Stepped Pension Option, this gave you a higher pension from the Scheme while you were under State Pension Age. When you reach State Pension Age and receive your State pension, then the pension from the Scheme will be reduced proportionately.

Stepped pensions are only available to members of the BAE Systems Pension Scheme and the BAE Systems 2000 Pension Plan.
