How the contributions are used
Core Pension
Your Basic Contributions, together with contributions from the Company, are invested by the Trustees as part of the total assets of the Scheme. Those assets are used to provide benefits linked to your Final Basic Salary and Pensionable Service.
Retirement Account
The 2% Company contribution allocated to your Retirement Account, together with any Voluntary Contributions you elect to pay, are invested with external providers appointed by the Trustees.
There are a number of investment fund options from which to choose, and information regarding these can be found in the Investing your contributions section.
