When you reach retirement age
If you retire at Normal Retirement Date you will receive a pension that is calculated as shown here.If you transferred benefits into the 2000 Plan from a previous pension arrangement, you will receive an additional yearly amount on top of your pension earned whilst being a member of the 2000 Plan.
If you have made contributions to the SBS or Additional Voluntary Contributions or had a transfer in to those arrangements, your account will also be converted into a pension or taken as part of your tax free cash sum.
The Pensions Service Centre will contact you before you reach your retirement age to tell you what your benefits will be.
