Pensioner Committees and Associations
Joint Pensioners Committee
BAE Systems operates a formal two way consultative process with pensioners. The Joint Pensioners Committee represents all pensioners of the BAE Systems Pension Scheme, the BAE Systems 2000 Pension Plan and the Royal Ordnance Pension Scheme. It examines and presents the views of pensioners on matters of general pensions interest or concern for those in receipt of a pension in these schemes so that these issues can be discussed between pensioners, BAE Systems and the pension scheme Trustees.
Members are elected by pensioners every two years on a regional basis and one representative from each scheme is elected by the Committee to serve on the Board of Trustees. Details of the current Pensioner Representatives are shown on the map.
A number of pensioners' associations have been set up by ex-employees, who regularly get together to organise social events and outings which are separate from the Joint Pensioners Committee. Some of these groups are more formally constituted than others. All groups and associations listed welcome new members so why not contact them and join in.
Royal Ordnance Pensioners Network
The Pensioners Network was created in 1995 to provide a communication channel between ROPS Pensioners and Group Pensions.
The Pensioner Networkers are local contacts for members who have retired and a receiving a pension from the Royal Ordnance Pension Scheme.
Alvis Pension Scheme
The member nominated trustee elected from the pensioners of the Alvis Pension Scheme is invited to attend the Joint Pensioner Committee meetings.
